In general, both INTEL and Apple Silicon M processors are supported.
The MT 48 is Class Compliant and can be used on MacOS without additional software installation. However, we recommend installing the Toolkit to obtain better latency times and additional functions.
For this we currently need Rosetta 2 to support tools such as the License Manager and the Toolkit agent.
The compiled code of the Neumann apps is therefore available in the Intel version, so this code is emulated with the help of the Rosetta framework.
The Rosetta framework is not available by default on Apple Silicon Macs and is only installed if required, for example if you want to install a non-Apple Silicon app, such as the Neumann apps.
However, we are aware that the end of support for Rosetta 2 is scheduled for 2027 and have a plan to migrate our dependencies before then.
