MA 1 VERSION 2.9.12 – A MAJOR STEP FORWARD IN STABILITY & PERFORMANCE
- Greatly improved app and device stability
- More robust connectivity across all supported monitors and
subwoofers - Enhanced bass management consistency in complex systems
- A smooth migration process for existing measurements
- Updated UI including analog vs. digital setup questions – required for better bass
management - Improved crossover between subwoofers and satellites.
The update includes refinements that make MA 1 more reliable in a wider range of studio
environments and ensures even more consistent low-frequency performance.
Users will be guided through a short setup confirmation step to ensure optimal calibration.
This release reflects our ongoing commitment to fine-tune every detail of the MA 1 experience, and
all users should be encouraged to update their system, even if they have no current issues.
With the MA 1 update to version 2.9.12, some KH-Line monitors and subwoofers are receiving new firmware.
- KH80DSP: 1.3.8
- KH120II: 1.7.3
- KH150: 1.73
- KH750DSP: 2.1.2
- KH805II: 1.1.1
- KH810II: 1.1.1
- KH870II: 1.1.1
After updating the firmware, further manual adjustments to the layouts in MA 1 may be necessary, depending on the configuration, monitor type, and connectivity.
If the message “Manual Changes Required” appears, click “CONTINUE”
In the next step, the layout will open, and you will need to reassign the connection (highlighted in orange).
Select the connection type you are using. Depending on the layout and KH-line model, the following options are available: (XLR | D-Sub | BNC | SPDIF)
In most cases, the configuration process is complete at this point.

Due to the new firmware and the connectivity configuration performed above, it may be necessary in some cases to update the existing alignment as well.
Click “CONTINUE”
The alignment is being reinitialized. This process may take a moment, especially with multichannel layouts.
After successful initialization, you will see the automatic alignment result, just as you are used to.
Click “SAVE AS” to save this re-initialized alignment. You can either give it a new name or use the name you used previously.
You will now see the newly initialized alignment in the dropdown menu. The already existing "old" alignment is automatically removed from the list because it is no longer compatible with the new firmware and the initialization process.
