With the KH 80 DSP, it sometimes appears that—despite having identical firmware—the monitors may may go into Auto Standby at different times when there is no audio signal and the monitors are in Network Mode | Auto Standby.
Previously, the default Auto Standby setting was 90 minutes.
Due to global regulations, this time has been reduced to 20 minutes with the latest firmware update (1.3.8).
However, it appears that some KH 80 DSP still require a factory reset for this 20-minute setting to take effect.
Resetting the KH 80 DSP
To reset the KH 80 DSP internal controls to their factory default values:
1. Switch on the KH 80 DSP .
2. While the Logo is flashing during the boot up phase, move the SETTINGS switch up and down repeatedly . The Logo will then light up blinking red before reverting to white
If the monitors turn off at a time other than approximately 20 minutes, first make sure that the monitors have the latest firmware using the MA 1 software. Both monitors should be in the same control mode (e.g., “Network mode | auto standby”). If time variations still occur after that, perform a factory reset.
